A Mobile Wikipedia for Medical Students - Knebel Notes

For my diploma capstone project I had the opportunity to work on a mobile app which was used by psychiatric students to reference medical information. This included different medical drugs, mental disabilities, mood disorders and more. I worked on bringing online documents (like MS Word) into a mobile friendly view inside the app.

Wrapper for Openlibrary.org

Built using a traditional LAMP stack, you can use this app to search for and find your favorite books! The tool makes async calls to Openlibrary.org's API with JS. Users may sign up and bookmark their favorites as well. User passwords are hashed and salted before being stored in a MySQL database.

Minesweeper in Java

A fully functioning clone of Microsoft's minesweeper, created as the final project for my Computer Programming 2 class. JavaFX was used to build the interface with Gluon scenebuilder loading all the UI elements. This project was a lot of fun and it was interesting to see all the different variations created.

Rooster Rush in Java

This was my first "real" game which I implemented almost everything. The objective is to dodge eggs and to eat as many possible worms as you can, with more and faster eggs appearing as time goes on. There are multiple powerups to collect such as bombs which you can use to clear eggs, a chili pepper which makes you leave a trail of fire, hearts which give you more lives, and more. Looking back, I'd definitely do some things differently, as there its obvious this was written by a beginner. All of the logic is in a single file, which I would like to have split up. Lots of hardcoded values and string checking. Functions which do too many things etc.

World Class Battleship AI - Ghost

This is an AI I built to play Battleship. It will beat you in 45 moves or less.
